karlie decorating...

I just can't keep up with her lately. Today I woke up and went downstairs and Karlie had woke up early (she usually comes and gets me up, she's my little alarm clock)and had decorated my whole front room with my brand new wrapping paper. She even got into the scissors and tape drawer (the little climber) and had beautiful cut out designs all over my walls and floor. When I ask her what she was doing up so early.
She said

I wanted to surprise dad with a going away party.

Karlie...Karlie....Karlie.....

Boy, everyday Karlie keeps amazing me....
Today I was doing some more never ending laundry, when I came upstairs she was covered in marker drawings, all over her body and I mean head to toe.
She told me

Mom, I have Native American skin pictures all over me, just like the ones in the History Museum we went too.

Once again, I couldn't get mad... just sign...I'm so glad we have nothing planned to go anywhere today.

Karlie cleaning

I was downstairs doing some laundry, when I heard some water. I thought it was the kitchen sink, and they were maybe water the plants outside. So I figured I would throw another load in the washer and then head up stairs to see what they were up to.
When I came up the stairs I almost died!! They had brought in the hose from outside in with the sprayer on, and the water up full blast. I saw my kitchen soaked and they had just started water down the front room and Gavins toys.
After I ran outside and turned off the water. I asked them what they were doing.

Karlie said, Just helping you clean Mom, I thought it would be faster this way, since you clean the porch like this, then you can come sooner outside and play with us.

Karlie's Fish Story

Karlie drew this cute fish family.
I ask her about her picture,
she said "there's daddy fish, mommy fish, brother fish, sister fish and baby fish".
Oh, like our family,
she said, "Yes, just like our family, and the sister fish is sad."
So I thought oh she must be trying to let me something. Why is sister fish so sad?
"Because she can't hold baby fish".
Why not?
"Duh, fish don't have arms mom!"
So, I didn't get anywhere, maybe next time.

Visiting the Benson's

The whole reason we went to Utah was to see J.R.'s mom, who a few months ago got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. J.R. got to spend almost everyday helping her, and talking with her, that was great for him. We also got to spend a couple hours a day with her. She actually looked a little better by the end of our trip. But she still was in allot of pain.
